GENERAL
What does BuildBid actually do?

BuildBid turns uploaded project documents into a draft estimating workflow: extracted inputs, line items, review signals, and outputs you can refine, export, or share.

Can I send a bid without checking the estimate?

You should not. BuildBid is intended to accelerate first-pass work and review, not remove estimator accountability.

What file types are supported?

The current upload flow accepts PDFs, DWG/DXF files, and common image formats, including multi-file submissions for plan sets.

Is this better for GCs or subcontractors?

Both can use it, but the value is different. GCs benefit from faster package review and cleaner proposal output. Subs benefit from starting with draft quantities and line items instead of rebuilding every quote from scratch.

Does BuildBid include customer-facing output?

Yes. The product includes share and export flows that support contractor-facing and customer-facing views of an estimate.

What if my legal or IT team needs more detail?

Start with the privacy, security, and terms pages on the site. If your team needs more than that, ask for the current operating details directly rather than relying on assumptions from marketing copy.

What happens to the plans I upload?

Uploaded plan files are tied to your account and used to run your estimates. We do not sell them or share raw files with other customers. Corrections you make to AI outputs (unit costs, quantities, classifications) do feed an aggregated community pricing index — that index never contains your raw documents or project names. A documented opt-out for the shared pricing index is on the roadmap; if you need a no-training posture today, contact us before uploading.

Where can I read the full privacy and security pages?

The /privacy and /security pages carry the full details, including a plain-language data-use summary at the top of each. The /terms page covers the legal terms of service.

How do I get support?

Email support directly or use the contact link in the app. Our support posture is conservative — we answer operating questions with current-state details rather than marketing claims.

PRICING & LIMITS
What counts as one estimate?

One estimate credit covers one document extraction or one single-file estimate upload. Multi-file batch jobs use one credit per document that enters extraction, up to 25 files at 500 MB each in the guided assistant.

What happens if I go over my plan limit?

Extra usage is handled with top-up packs: 5 credits for $59, 20 for $199, or 50 for $449. You can stay on your current plan instead of being forced into a surprise upgrade.

Do unused estimates roll over?

No. Unused estimates do not roll over to the next billing period. Plans are sized around monthly bidding rhythm, so pick the tier that matches your typical month.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Month-to-month plans can be cancelled anytime from billing; access continues through the end of the current period. Free plans require no credit card, so there is nothing to cancel.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing equals two months free — you pay for ten months and use BuildBid for twelve. The discount applies to Solo, Pro, Business, and Small Team tiers.
